Abstract

E-learning is one of the current popular technologies that has been used by the educational institution to facilitate the class session anywhere and anytime with an Internet connection. Final Year Project subject is one of the compulsory subjects taken by the engineering and non-engineering students to obtain the attributions to graduate. Thus, the selection of supervisor is crucial to ensure students can get specific guidance to finish their project within the specific period. Therefore, the implementation of JTMK Project Selection System' (JPSS) by implementing single blind method is crucial to ensure the student project selection among the supervisor is more efficient and faster. This research study presents the findings of an evaluation of the system's use in electing student projects and providing supervisors with feedback on 74 of them. The user's acceptance of the new system's implementation is determined using the Technology Acceptance Model. Pearson correlation coefficient, validity and reliability test for user acceptance is carried out using the correlation and multiple regression approaches. The results of the f-test, ANOVA, and t-test indicates that the system has been accepted by users and beneficial in helping supervisors select projects. Of the JPSS system changes among supervisors, 54.6% can be explained by Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness. It is demonstrated by the positive value of the constant coefficient (3.011) at the significance level of 0.003 indicates that future user acceptability of the JPSS is projected to increase.
