Artificial intelligence (AI) holds significant potential for enhancing technical and vocational education and training (TVET) by supporting evidence-based practices and enabling the contextualized evaluation of teaching methods. This article explores the role of AI in generating inspectable and reproducible evidence of teaching practices, empowering practitioners to make informed decisions and refine their approaches based on empirical data. Additionally, it examines the application of AI-assisted platforms, such as those for presentation training, in improving student learning experiences and fostering essential communication skills. However, the integration of AI in TVET education also presents challenges, including gaps in information and communication technology (ICT) enablement, the need to incorporate emerging technologies, and limitations in understanding complex learning contexts. The article discusses strategies for addressing these challenges, such as developing comprehensive plans for AI integration, exploring collaborative AI-human approaches, and conducting further research to overcome the limitations of AI in education. Ultimately, by harnessing the power of AI while addressing its challenges, TVET education can better prepare students for success in the rapidly evolving workforce landscape.
